See here the message from the Western Cape:
2016 was a momentous year for the veterinary profession in South Africa with the roll out of the Compulsory Community Service programme for veterinarians. The details of this programme were reported in Volume 13 No 1 (A game changer for the veterinary sector) and Volume 13 No 4 (Many hands make light veterinary work) of the Agriprobe.
Please find attached the Annual Report for the 2016 cohort detailing the wonderful work that these 19 young veterinarians performed in the Western Cape.
We trust that you will join us in celebrating the positive difference that this programme is making to animal health and welfare, veterinary services and the people of South Africa.
Please feel free to pass on to anyone who may be interested.
Dr Aileen Pypers, Western Cape Provincial CCS co-ordinator
