Antimicrobial Resistance-Animal and environmental aspects of AMR 2017-01-26

The final report on “Strategic and Operational Guidance on Animal and Environmental Aspects: National Action Plans on Antimicrobial Resistance for Developing Countries” based on the International Workshop on National Action Plans on Antimicrobial Resistance for low and middle-income countries, which was organized by the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) at New Delhi, India during 10-11 November, 2016, has been published.

The report has two major parts, a summary of workshop deliberations followed by a detailed strategic and operational guidance which is tabulated across three key areas i.e. responsible antibiotic use in food animals; surveillance of antibiotic use, residues and resistance; and environment management to contain antimicrobial resistance.
