Please find attached the Epidemiology Report for October 2023. This report is produced by the Epidemiology Section of Western Cape Veterinary Services and aims to provide current information about animal diseases reported in the province to the veterinary and one health community.

This month we give a brief update on H7N6 high pathogenicity avian influenza, which affected one farm in the Western Cape in October. Animal diseases reported in the Western Cape during October 2023 are also described.
