Animals that test positive for Brucellosis are branded with a hot C-branding iron by state veterinary services on the right-hand side of the neck, approximately 15cm below the junction of the head and neck. The onus rests with you as the farmer to keep infected animals in quarantine until a state veterinarian authorizes their release.
