Please find attached the Epidemiology Report for October and November 2024. This report is produced by the Epidemiology Section of Western Cape Veterinary Services and aims to provide current information about animal diseases reported in the province to the veterinary and one health community.
In this report we describe imported cases of canine leishmaniasis on the Garden Route, and suspect high pathogenicity avian influenza on Marion Island. Animal diseases reported in the Province in October and November are also described.
