Dear colleagues
Please find attached the Epidemiology Report for March 2025. This report is produced by the Epidemiology Section of Western Cape Veterinary Services and aims to provide current information about animal diseases reported in the province to the veterinary and one health community.
In this report, we share findings from a recently released pre-print about the identification of a possible mpox reservoir host in West Africa. Diseases reported in March 2025 are also described.
